Position Summary:

• In keeping with our organization’s tradition, we seek to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to attain goals. The dietary cook position is responsible for providing nourishing food to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Minimum Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work Experience: Preference given to prior dietary experience in an institutional setting.

• Essential Job Functions:
• · Prepares food for patients and residents.
• · Ensures food supplies are appropriate and places orders when necessary.
• · Ensures a clean kitchen and workspace.
• · Supervises dietary assistant.
• · Reliability, willingness to learn new tasks, ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
• · Performs duties in a manner consistent with safety principles
• · Keeps abreast of new procedures and technology
• · Must be organized in order to avoid clerical errors, errors of omission and inconsistent completion of job functions
• · Coordinates work flow with other employees/managers to ensure a productive and efficient work environment
• · Communicate by work, word and action, the Mission, Vision and Philosophy of MMFI
• · Maintain a good working relationship with all coworkers and the general public and to use good judgment in recognizing scope and authority of position
• · Must utilize effective problem solving skills as appropriate
• · Must be flexible in response to unexpected changes in workload, emergencies and or scheduling changes
• · Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
