Mission Healthcare at Bellevue is hiring (2) part-time Dietary Aides (waitstaff) for their skilled nursing facility.

• Saturday Morning 5a - 1:30p
• Saturday Afternoon 11a - 7:30p
• Sunday Morning 5a - 1:30p
• Sunday Afternoon 11a - 7p

Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to complete duties assigned to provide accurate, timely food service in order to meet patient needs in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. To maintain dietary equipment in a safe, sanitary manner.

Summary of Responsbilties

• Follow oral and written directions.
• Set up trays and food service carts accurately and timely.
• Serve and bus trays.
• Pour and cover beverages.
• Assist in preparing, covering and labeling food.
• Clean work area.
• Assist in the proper care, use, cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment.
• Attend in-service training programs for Food Service employees and as assigned.
• Follow infection control procedures related to the Dietary department.
• Follow facility safety program.
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
• Assume accountability for data contained in the employee handbook.
• Perform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
• Carry out garbage
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary
• Assist in food preparation for special means, parties, etc.
• Collect dirty dishes and organize the dish area
• Check soap, sanitizer and rinse aide chemicals

Requirements

• No experience necessary
• Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Requires standing for most of shift and ability to lift 20 lb.
• Maintain a current WA state food handler permit.
• Must be capable of making mature judgments, be dependable, and possess knowledge of safe sanitation practices, safety practices and special diets.
