The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparation/handling of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, safety and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures.
Essential Job Duties
- This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands and mental competencies of this job require the employee maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
2. Correctly prepares all food served following guidelines and protocols; including special diet instructions.
3. Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved.
4. Apportion food for serving.
5. Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
7. Complete food temperature checks before service.
8. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors promoting a homelike environment.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
- Must meet all healthcare requirements
- Must be in positive standing with all healthcare agencies, including the Employment Clearance Registry and Adult Maltreatment Registry
- Prior experience in related food service positions required.
