- Regular service of Jenison Public School vehicles
- Perform routine safety checks and preventative maintenance inspections
- Perform mechanical repairs within certified areas
- Maintain necessary vehicle maintenance records
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor, i.e. snowplowing, salting parking lot, driving a bus in emergency situations, etc.
- Positive attitude, team player, and excellent people skills
- Self-motivated and flexible
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Prefer work experience in heavy duty repairs
- CDL license (prefer a B and P endorsement with it)
- Air brake endorsement
- Clean background check, drug screen, and driving record
- DOT medical exam
- State of Michigan Certified Mechanic
- Positive recommendation by former supervisor
