Development Associate
BPA's Development Associate supports our Executive Director to identify, solicit, and steward resources in support of our mission & work - including annual appeals, individual donors, corporate sponsors, industry partnerships, grants, and fundraising events. We are looking for someone with 5+ years of non-profit development experience including a track record of successful annual appeals, fundraising campaigns/events, securing corporate and donor-based giving, as well as grant writing & grants management.
Part-time: 15hrs a week ($25-30hr)
Reports to Executive Director
Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Development
- Support Executive Director in the creation and management of Annual Appeal
- Supports the development of annual fundraiser and other seasonal events
- Manages donor cultivation, relations, and appreciation (including planned & major gifts)
- Cultivates and manages relationships with foundations and individual donors
- Cultivates and manages corporate sponsorships and industry partnerships
- Manages database & records for foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors
- Supports Executive Director in grant writing and managing grant schedules & records.
- Secures and maintains governmental grants, accreditations and tax-credits (EITC)
- Copywriting for outreach and annual appeals
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years of non-profit development experience
- History of success leading annual appeal campaigns and events
- Experience with foundations, government grants and corporate sponsorships in Greater Philadelphia Area
- History of success leading outreach campaigns
- Experience with youth and/or arts & culture organizations in Philadelphia (preferred but not required)
Skills:
- Proficiency with MailChimp (CRM software)
- Proficiency with Excel (or Google Spreadsheets)
- Excellent research, writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong & strategic partnerships
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
- Masters degree preferred (but not required)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
