responsibilities:
- Responsible for cooling component, module, and system design and validation for machine and power systems applications under the direction of an engineering team leader.
- Lead APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and CPPD (Concurrent Product and Process Development) activity to ensure cooling products are developed to meet time, cost, and quality requirements within budget.
- Scope includes NPI, cost reduction, and current production.
- Communicate with other engineering team members, GSND, suppliers, and customers.
- Adhere to established standards, policies, and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, and ergonomics.
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) (GPA > 3.2)
- 3-5 years solid modeling experience (CREO/Solid works etc)
Required:
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter, APQP, DFM and CAT 1E specs
- Previous supplier CPPD experience
- Experience with NPI and component development
- Expertise in heat transfer and heat exchanger supplier knowledge
- strong academic background in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanics of materials
- Mechanical fatigue knowledge
- Experimental stress analysis knowledge
- FEA (Finite Element Analysis) knowledge
