Job Summary: As a Deposit Operations Specialist you will perform various monitoring and processing tasks related to the day to day deposit operations of the bank. You will also provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers by responding to inquiries and resolving operational issues and concerns in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide customer service primarily by phone to external customers by responding to balance inquiries, debit card, online banking and deposit account questions and issues, and other requests for assistance.

Provide support and assistance to internal staff by serving as a resource on all deposit-related topics and concerns.

Perform check-back activities on all new accounts and changes to existing accounts. Ensure all account documentation has been obtained and properly archived.

Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers, ACH files, returned deposited items, cash letter adjustments, levies and garnishments.

Handle all debit card matters, including ordering cards, performing maintenance, and processing customer debit card disputes.

Review various exception reports and monitor accounts with special instructions, taking steps to address items on the reports.

Analyze, correct and complete posting of non-posted items. Process non-sufficient funds items in accordance with decisions made regarding payment or returning the items.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 – 2 years previous banking experience required.

Mathematical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management and team members.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to identify, research, and solve problems.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Requirements:

  • Significant experience with deposit services, products and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and reinforce outstanding customer service.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the bank’s procedures and policies.
  • Ability to work in pressure situations, delegate and prioritize.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
