Job Summary
Our practice is adding a hygienist to our team! We are looking for a passionate clinician who values working within a patient-centric hygiene program. Our doctors and hygienists work together to diagnose periodontal therapy and help patients maintain optimal oral health. We strive to create amazing workspaces and provide the tools that each hygienist needs to create and perform comprehensive care and treatment for each patient.
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will perform various duties to help patients achieve and maintain their oral health. You will assist the Dentist by performing the initial screening, taking X-rays, and performing oral hygiene procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet patients
- Conduct initial oral screenings
- Identify conditions such as periodontal diseases, gingivitis
- Performing the appropriate oral hygiene procedure for each patient
- Educating patients on oral hygiene
- Sterilize dental instruments
- Follow infection control standards
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role
- Outstanding communication skills
- Friendly personality
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to keep up with physical demands of the job
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene
- Valid license to practice
Education and Experience
- Licensed to practice Dental Hygiene
- X-ray certified
- Laser certified
- Basic knowledge of practice management software
Physical Demands
- Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms
- Is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Has the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
- Works in moderate noise
- Sometimes moves boxes and files weighing up to 25 pounds across the office for various needs
