Demolition Division Manager

Our company is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Demolition Division Manager to oversee all aspects of our demolition office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration, sales, production management, human resources, and technical knowledge of demolition. With at least 10 years of experience in the heavy industrial and commercial structural demolition industry, the successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of delivering consistent growth in their assigned geographic market.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to the entire division, including field and office staff, vendors, and contractors
  • Oversee project life cycles from bidding to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the company's presence in the assigned region
  • Assist division employees in meeting their goals and deliverable schedules
  • Establish and maintain division policies in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Develop and review annual division business plans
  • Create and implement performance evaluation processes for division employees
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform sales strategies and tactics
  • Meet sales targets within the assigned region and accounts
  • Prepare project estimates, budgets, and schedules
  • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Travel as necessary to meet objectives within the designated region
  • Coordinate sales operations with other company departments
  • Manage the performance and activities of the sales team
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel and resources on projects within the assigned region

Qualifications

  • 4-year technical or business administration degree and/or extensive experience in the demolition industry
  • At least 10 years of heavy industrial / commercial structural and explosive demolition industry experience
  • Technical sales skills and estimating experience
  • Proven customer relationship management abilities
  • Knowledge of market research in the heavy civil and/or construction industry
  • Proven ability to perform in a management/leadership capacity in a matrixed organization
  • Experience with resource management, budget analysis, and construction accounting
  • Human resources experience, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and coaching/mentoring
  • Basic construction math skills and blueprint/plan reading abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random screening for illegal substances


Compensation

Salary will be dependent on experience and includes a competitive bonus structure based on successful management of profit and loss.
