This team is responsible for putting together the global AIS supportability and the Sales and operations Plan (S&OP) for all time horizons. They work on aligning demand and supply to come up with a committed plan across teams. They own presenting supportability documents to leadership. They understand supply and demand levers and leverage them across regions and functions when needed. They work with finance to align the financial plans with the supply and demand. They present CAPEX changes when and where needed and get needed approvals. They work closely with software teams to implement supportability and S&OP views. They interface with customers and be the voice to internal and external customers where and when needed. They are the keepers of the ‘Plan of record’.

Key job responsibilities
  • Grow and optimize a Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) processes to align business decisions across AWS VPs/GMs
  • Lead a team of planning professionals to create operational and financial metrics to monitor and continuously improve planning decisions and their impact on supportability and cost.
  • Work with the AWS business teams leaders on demand shaping options for constrained supply.
  • Guide automation teams on implementing the systems and datasets required for the various elements of the S&OP, while also directly managing/dialing in new programs until such a time as it makes sense to automate.
  • Inspect plans developed within execution teams for compliance to demand signals, challenging supply assurance for critical bottlenecks and focusing team resources to the points of greatest concern.
  • This role will require understanding the evolving industry and market landscapes, both for demand and supply and clear judgment for where personal attention is needed.
  • This leader is a thought-leader for Amazon VPs to deliver solutions to strategic problems.
  • This leader lead broader initiatives, as assigned, to further advance the effectiveness of the organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $155,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $302,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
