Delivery Driver - Burnsville, MN
SouthernCarlson, a national distributor of construction, fastening, industrial and construction supplies, is seeking a delivery driver to join our team of successful team of associates in our Burnsville branch. Shift is daytime hours Monday through Friday. $18-$21 an hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection of vehicle and merchandise to ensure road safety
• Plan route to and from customers businesses and adjust for traffic and/or construction
• Warehouse activities to handle deliveries and support the warehouse team
• Safely transport merchandise to customers in a timely, safe, and courteous manner
• Load truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unload merchandise for customer
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with management, co-workers and/or customers to resolve any delivery issues.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a similar role
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Maintain DOT certification
• Experience in the construction or industrial supply industry is helpful
• Quick learner and able to retain knowledge
• Basic Computer skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds of customer product regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Forklift experience preferred but not required
• Diligent attention to safety and detail
• Neat appearance consistent with the industry
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
