Delivery Driver/Processor

This position reports directly to the Sales Manager, and is primarily responsible for the delivery of cannabis products from Cultivar Farms and immediately communicating any issues in that process. It is expected that you bring a positive and constructive attitude into the retail location, as well as presenting a professional image in appearance, actions and words.

Specific Duties:

  • Maintains compliance with state regulations and law, including traffic laws.
  • Understanding of compliance and reporting requirements, including the regulations regarding packaging and transportation.
  • Works closely with Processing Supervisor in order to ensure that compliance is maintained.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres strictly to the Cultivar Farms Transportation Policy.
  • Strictly adheres to Cultivar Farms Delivery Checklist (see attached). Notifies management when updates are necessary.
  • Works closely with Sales Manager to ensure that any updates, changes, challenges (specifically product rejection, manifest issues, quality issues, etc) are properly communicated immediately.
  • Responsible for communicating issues, not solving them. Delivery drivers are not authorized to make decisions regarding solving issues.
  • Responsible for the oversight of delivery vehicle and delivery process. Establishes preventative maintenance and cleaning programs when appropriate.
  • Works closely with Sales Manager to prioritize orders, and follow route.
  • Provides feedback to Sales Manager regarding the delivery driver set-up, processes and policies.
  • Works with HR team to properly document any changes to the Delivery Driver role.
  • Participates in Sales Team meetings when appropriate.
  • Required to adhere to the Gas/Mileage Plan per Bookkeeper’s Existing Plan when using your own vehicle.
  • Obeys all rules and regulations as put forth by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board.
  • Adheres strictly to internal Cultivar Policy.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • May require prolonged sitting or standing, some bending stooping and stretching.
  • Involves frequent driving.
  • Involves frequent lifting and moving of boxes.
  • May require lifting up to 30 lbs. at a time.
