Debt Collection Specialist Job at Waterview Capital
Leading Merchant Cash Advance provider has immediate opening for a bright, hard-working individual to join our Debt Collection Team. The ideal candidate will have had deep experience in business debt collection, preferably in the Merchant Cash Advance space. The candidate will have the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team in a fast-paced, work environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
- Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments.
- Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status.
- Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
- Handle questions or complaints.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies

- Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues
- Update account status and database regularly
- Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary
- Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
This is an onsite role based in our Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn offices and cannot be performed remotely.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
