SDO CPA is a fasting growing tax and accounting firm.

We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk interested in accuracy and speed when working with financial data.

This position is in our Duncanville, Texas, Office Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Data Entry Clerk Description

The ideal candidate will be well-organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. The successful candidate will have quick typing skills, an analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for precision.

What you'll do:

• Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
• Type in data provided directly by customers
• Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents
• Update existing data
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Data Entry Clerk Requirements

• You have a strong work ethic and decision-making skills.
• You excel at data entry and are organized, detail-oriented, and task-driven.
• You are empathetic. You love putting yourself in someone else's shoes and figuring out how to serve them better.
• You love to learn new ways of doing things that improve your life and workflow.
• You have fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing systems is strongly preferred.
• You have excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
• You're comfortable dealing with vast volumes of complex data.
• You have a working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices.
• You have a basic understanding of databases.
• You have a good command of English, both oral and written, and customer service skills.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Proven experience as a data entry clerk.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
