Job Summary
The Engineer works with application developers to automate and accelerate the testing, release and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably. The Engineer will have a background in development, operations, and full-stack implementations. They will also have experience programming in a high-level language such as Ruby, Python, Java, C# or other language to script installation, configuration and provisioning. They will be providing continuous delivery solutions in a cloud environment and have experience with the core suite of tools used to manage different cloud providers.The Engineer may also be responsible for building and maintaining optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting by the Data and Analytics department.The Engineer will be responsible for mentoring and teaching existing team members. As such, the ideal candidate must have experience clearly explaining solutions to complex problems and demonstrate the ability to lead and impart knowledge effectively to junior resources.

Job Accountabilities

• Managing the installation and configuration of solutions.
• Completing code and script updates, as well as resolving product implementation errors
• Contributing expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact.
• Mentoring junior software developers in gaining experience and assuming DevOps responsibilities
• Collaborating with developers on software requirements, as well as interpreting test stage data.
• Overseeing routine maintenance procedures and performing diagnostic tests.
• Create standards and best practices.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, Data Science, Analytics, or related. Required

• 2+ years of familiarity with a broad portfolio of AWS infrastructure tools (EBS, S3, EC2, Elastic IP, Route 53, VPC) and experience with cloud infrastructure management and automation technologies. Required
• Experience working with basic structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Required
• Basic SQL knowledge proficiency and analytical skills. Exposure to modern data/analytics architecture (Big Data, Cloud, etc.). Required
• Exposure to advanced analytics tools (Python, R, etc). Scripting (shell, python, ruby) skills for monitoring and automation. Required

This role can also be hired as a Senior Data Engineer based on experience.
