The Bronx District Attorney's Office is seeking an experienced Data Analyst.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Listen, review, and summarize Rikers calls and the 24-hour report.
- Compare, analyze, and compile patterns obtained from traditional investigative techniques.
- Work with Crime Strategies Bureau and other bureaus to focus on crime drivers on Rikers
- Superior organizational, time management, writing, and communication skills
- Perform a full range of intelligence, analytical, and investigative support when needed.
- Create reports, infographics, and other methods to visualize data
- Structure large data sets to find trends and information usable in criminal prosecutions
- Other duties as assigned to support RIPB including translation and transcription of communications
- Perform all other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Available to rotate between the Bronx District Attorney's main office on 161st Street in Bronx County and the satellite office on Rikers Island.
- A baccalaure degree, from an accredited college or high school diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- A valid driver's license with a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience is required.
- Candidate should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, a sense of responsibility, and an ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong project management skills in a team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical and computer skills including advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with statistical formulas and applications.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
