General Summary:
Responsibilities include auditing SKU information to ensure accurate product set up, managing recalls, as well as setting up and maintaining SKUs as needed. This person will work across categories and departments to ensure the highest level of data integrity in all systems down to the store level.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform ongoing audits of SKU level information to ensure integrity is consistent across our Distribution Centers and Retek in order to ensure that items are set up accurately and completely, ensuring accurate item sales and margin data. Communicate necessary corrections and follow up on completion.
Assist with Quality & Compliance and the Analyst, DSD and Trait Management on product recalls and product holds, including DC holds and store stop ships, using the Compliance Workflow.
Maintain all Merchandising Hierarchy changes including but not limited to classes, subclasses and or department class for the Planning Department on Fashion/Seasonal Goods, which is critical for reporting information accurately and maintaining integrity in the Family Dollar Data Warehouse.
Responsible for creation and maintenance of User Defined Attributes and Values along with Product Decision Hierarchy.
Ensure accuracy of the competitor pricing data, index reports and metrics.
Responsible for reporting pricing opportunities to Merchandising staff to support company price image and margin goals and objectives.
Assist as key point of contact to the DCs on item inquires, ensuring a prompt response is provided and assistance is either provided or provide contacts in appropriate departments.
Monitor, respond and educate business partners on Centralized Item mailbox.
Responsible for providing information to the Merchandising staff in order to correct current data integrity issues within the Retek system.
Responsible for training and creating learning experiences to continuously educate Merchandising on the importance of data integrity and their roles in the processes and procedures.
Responsible to maintain service level agreement of 3 days, seeking help as need to remain on track and providing updates to Merchandising Leadership when timeframe is in jeopardy.
Responsible for reporting new items to Risk Management for determination of hazmat coding, and for requesting Material Safety Data Sheets from buying teams.
Complete all SKU setup and maintenance to SKUs in order to ensure the highest level of data integrity across the chain, as needed.

Cross-train and serve as backup to other merchandise data related areas as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: College Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2-3 Years in Retail Stores or Merchandising
Job Related Skills: Proven track record in priority setting and managing multiple tasks and strong written and communication skills with excellent organizational skills. Applicant must have high attention to detail, strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite; SQL Developer. Ability to quickly learn new systems and business tools.
