Customer Service Associate (Remote) Job at Pedal Movement
Position Description:
Pedal Movement is seeking a skilled Customer Service Center Representative to help staff a growing customer service center focused on providing comprehensive customer support for bikeshare programs. The Customer Service Center Representative will assist in answering user inquiries in a timely and empathetic manner and collaborate with the operations team to offer the most efficient level of service. Representatives will work with the Customer Service Manager to establish goals and ensure that expected metrics of performance are met. Though a candidate local to the Los Angeles region is preferred, the position is fully remote, so non-local candidates are more than welcome to apply.
Candidates should have exceptional communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and be willing to gain a working knowledge of company policies and offerings. Additionally, candidates must have a high level of expertise working with customer service technology solutions.
Candidates should be detail-oriented and possess an understanding of the business, the products and services, and the kinds of issues representatives would expect to regularly encounter. Pedal Movement seeks an experienced professional who is passionate about making cities more bike-friendly and who is highly motivated to work with an evolving customer service program and growing company.
Training on technical and unique aspects of bike share bikes, the underlying software, and common issues will be provided. Basic familiarity with these bike systems is required, but mechanical bike expertise will not be required for this position.
Key Aspects of Position :
Promptly and expertly replying to customer inquiries through phone, email, and potentially other channels such as live chat.
Collaborating and communicating with our other departments to help resolve customer and operational issues.
Receiving high-level training in all aspects of Bike Share operations, including:
Typical bicycle maintenance and repair issues.
Basics of station technology (hardware and software), maintenance and repair.
Basic customer service and public relations.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
English/Spanish Bilingual heavily preferred.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure, especially during peak hours or intense situations.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in providing customer service through a variety of methods including phone, email, and chat.
Excellent on-the-fly problem-solving, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Experience with professional writing is preferred.
Familiarity with company services and industry practices.
Decisiveness and attention to detail.
Proficiency with necessary technology, including computers, software applications, phone systems, etc.
Polite, professional phone voice.
Excellent time management and organization skills.
Ability to be both self-directed and work well in a collaborative team environment.
High-speed internet (at minimum 25 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload; employer subsidy provided.)
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs; stoop, bend, sit, and stand for long periods.
