Job Purpose:
The role of the Customer Sales Specialist (CSS) is instrumental to our branches . The CSS is to establish new and increase existing customer account relationships through sales and referrals of retail, commercial, mortgage, and other line of business products and services. The CSS serves as a proactive member of the Retail branch team by being an initial sales and service contact for new and existing clients. Effectively manages existing clients and book of business to support the retention and growth of profitable client relationships through sales of deposit, loan, and business products. The CSS will provide our customers with outstanding professional and courteous service by giving them full attention and making their business top priority.
Essential Duties:
· Deliver world class customer service by going above and beyond for the customer.
· Achieve sales and referral goals through by developing a positive customer experience.
· Maximize personal productivity through attention to detail, self motivation and adaptability to achieve branch and assigned personal goals.
· Identifies and resolves moderately complex client service opportunities.
· Actively participate in various training activities to expand knowledge and skills.
· Consistently and effectively have a customer conversation process to fully understand customer needs and deliver the right MNB products and services.
· Recognize other financial service opportunities and refer those to appropriate line of business.
· Responsible for providing a variety of teller transactions promptly, efficiently and accurately.
· Adhere to all procedures including operational and strategic plan guidelines.
· Ability to build solid relationships with teammates, business partners by fostering teamwork, partnership and collaboration
· Maintains knowledge of and ensures compliance with all Federal and State banking regulations and adheres to Bank policies and procedures.
· Identify and respond swiftly to fraudulent activity; protecting the customer and the bank.
· Required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of teller, vault, safe deposit, processing, DDA, lines of credit, discussing and accepting credit applications, and is required to provide leadership, training and support to new hires within the branch.
· Performs duties of opening new deposit and loan accounts, able to communicate MNB products and services to customers
· Maintains and ensures adherence to safety and security procedures and guidelines.
· Maintains privacy and integrity of customer information.
· Participates in and occasionally facilitates daily branch team meetings.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service; two (2) years of cash handling and one (1) year of teller experience.
· Minimum one (1) year of sales; one (1) year of new account and/or loan experience preferred
· Proficient with Microsoft Office.
· Must be flexible and able to work at any and all branch locations as needed.

Incumbent will work primarily in an office environment and will be required to sit and stand for extended periods of time and move from location to location as needed. Incumbent may be required to lift objects up to 20lbs.
Incumbent must be able to see, hear, speak, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.

The work location is a climate controlled indoor office. Incumbent may be required to visit locations outside of the office from time-to-time. Incumbent will be expected to work in several projects/assignments simultaneously.
