Description:

A Road Ready Agent is responsible for ensuring trucks are Road Ready for drivers at Dedicated Slip Seat accounts. This is achieved through cleaning & inspecting trucks, keeping tools and equipment in excellent shape, observing safety & health procedures, completing work orders & other vehicle documentation as needed, and providing an excellent experience for our drivers.

What you’ll do

• Vacuum and wipe down all interior surfaces on trucks.
• Dispose of trash left in cab.
• Perform basic and routine preventative inspection on trucks as outlined when completing a cleaning of the cab interior, and report issues to Shop or Operations personnel.
• Drive company vehicles on yard as needed.
• Track conditions of trucks as drivers come in from routes.
• Ensure timely, competent, and courteous communications and relations with drivers.
• Follow directives and schedules of the Supervisor or Manager.
• Complete other objectives set forth by the Manager (take out garbage, sweeping floors, and keeping a clean work area, maintaining cleanliness of yard)
• Safely perform assigned tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a high level of productivity, safety awareness, and accountability.
• Perform other duties assigned.

What we’re looking for
Education

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.

Experience

• Experience in the transportation industry a plus.

Skills/Certifications

• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to communicate well verbally.
• Basic English reading and writing skills including the ability to write legibly.
• Basic computer skills.
