Crew Foreperson Job at Relay Resources

The Landscape Crew Foreperson will be directly responsible for the output of him/herself and a crew. This position will also assist with training of Trainees and employees that may be assigned to the crew. Driving is an essential function of this job. Presence at the worksite during normal business hours is an essential function of this position.


Supervision:

  • Foreperson is directly responsible for the work performed by the assigned crew

Support:

  • Assist the Supervisor in evaluations of Tech 1, 2, and 3’s assigned to their crew.
  • Follow through on directions of Supervisor by delegating work or performing it themselves.

Groundskeeping:

  • Perform physical tasks such as weeding, raking, carrying materials, and more.
  • Performs tasks requiring spray license or other special certifications.

Administrative:

  • Responsible for the proper completion of paperwork at the end of each day.

Training:

  • Train other employees in the proper use of equipment or other activities

Communication:

  • Communicate training related information to the training supervisor about trainees
  • Communicate job site conditions to Foreman / Supervisor through verbal or written communications.

Tools/Equipment/Vehicles:

  • Use landscape equipment safely and productively.
  • May drive a company vehicle and a trailer loaded with equipment.

  • Three years previous landscape experience in the specific field of work is required.
  • Prior leadership and field training experience
  • Oregon or Washington Commercial Pesticide Applicators license is required to spray any pesticides.
  • Must have reliable form of transportation to job.
  • Be able to communicate effectively through written or verbal skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand contract specifications and landscape frequency charts.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile, safe driving record and insurance coverage acceptable to RR’s insurance carrier.
  • CPR and First aid certifications
  • Ability to pass drug screening and criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting as appropriate at any time during employment.
