Come Grow with Us and Join an Award-Winning Organization! Stearns Bank is looking for a Credit Quality Control Specialist. This is a remote-eligible position based out of our Equipment Finance Division located in Albany, Minnesota.


JOB SUMMARY
: Support the bank’s initiative of keeping risk management and credit quality as our competitive advantage. This person will perform a variety of credit-related quality control checks, to ensure adherence to credit policies and procedures, accuracy, and consistency, and will complete the EFD Watch List on a monthly basis. This person will provide support to the Credit Quality Control Officer by assisting with gathering and reviewing of documentation for Credit related audits and exams.

Starting annual salary of $50,000.00. Employment offers will be dependent upon the selected candidate's relevant qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform EFD-side quality control checks with a focus on new money, pre-close MCFs, and post-close MCF Underwriting requests; closing documentation checklist verification, funding checklist verification, and data input for adherence to policy and procedure, providing applicable coaching and feedback to Team Members as needed
  • Perform bank-side loan quality control check templates and processes with a focus on credit write-ups including new money, MCFs, and File Comments; closing document checklist verification; other checklist verification; and data input for adherence to policy and procedure, providing applicable coaching and feedback to Team Members as needed (post development and execution)
  • Monitor and report key EFD Credit KPIs to applicable Management and Teams
  • Monitor and report key bank-side Credit KPIs to applicable Management and Teams (post development and execution)
  • Gather and review documentation for Credit related audits & exams
  • Identify financials and other deliverables needed to complete bank-side Annual Reviews, set Salesforce Tasks for Lenders, and follow up directly with Lenders to ensure receipt
  • Monitor EFD Missing Docs List and follow up with applicable Team Member to complete
  • Accurately prepare the EFD Watch List on a monthly basis
  • Review existing EFD contracts and leases, assigning appropriate risk ratings based on EFD Policy


REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel

objects, tools or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler,

telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.

  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision,

depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Maintain working knowledge of office tools (copier, mail machine, etc.) needed to support office

staff.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field preferred; not required depending upon experience
  • Minimum 3 years financial services experience preferred, plus an advanced understanding of Underwriting, Loan Policies, and Procedures
  • Ability to multi-task as required
  • Ability to work independently on special projects
  • Demonstrates aptitude to utilize computer systems, adhere to bank policies and procedures, and

ensure compliance with applicable bank regulations
