Education: Requires a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Requires two or more years of retail sales experience with a track record of success preferably in one of the following industries: Agriculture equipment, motor vehicle industry, outdoor power equipment, recreational vehicles, construction equipment/machinery, small engine and accessories.

While performing the essential job functions of this position, the following is required:

General Summary
Essential Job Functions
- Begin each workday with a positive attitude by encouraging each counter person to meet their daily and weekly goals. Work to develop a sense of team in the parts department and across other departments.
- Sells outdoor power equipment parts to customers walking or calling into the store
- Fills parts requests for the service techs and participates in rolling inventory check
- Greets Customers in a friendly and timely manner
- Fills customer orders from stock
- Prepares sales slip or sales contract
- Customer Service-Manages difficult or emotional customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve service.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; responds well to questions.
- Follows all company and vendor policies and procedures
- Adaptability-Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands
- Ascertains make, year, and type of part needed, inspects worn, damaged, or defective part to determine replacement required, or advises customer of part needed according to description of malfunction.
- Discusses use and features of various parts.
- Receive payment, make proper change and wrap or bag merchandise for customer
- Receives and fills telephone orders for parts
- Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available
- Examines returned part to determine if defective, and exchanges part or refunds money
- Alerts the parts manager when stock is running low.
- Weekly Duties and Responsibilities:Marks and stores parts in stockroom according to prearranged system.
Takes inventory of stock, brochures, bulletins, manuals and publication. Present and accurate count to the parts manager.
Advise the parts manager of trends in parts usage. Monitor aging inventory and present a report to dept manager.
Sweep and clean the stock room
- Each Quarter meet with Parts/Service Manager to discuss improvement processes to be implemented during the next quarter.
- Annually meet with the Parts/Service Manager to discuss year-end results, goals and objectives for the upcoming year.
- Perform all other job functions as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.46 - $22.64 per hour
