Adapt Integrated Health Care is currently looking for a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our Adult Residential team!

Requirements:
- Registered with MHACBO as a CADC I or higher
- Preferred experience with residential setting
- Must possess valid driver's license
The Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor is a clinical position that provides counsel and support to patients suffering from drug or alcohol dependency, educates families in the best ways to help in the recovery process, and works with those participating in outpatient programs. The Counselor provides integrated in-patient SUD treatment services that are based on medical necessity and that support and promote SUD recovery.
Job Duties:
- Provides direct client services, including screenings, assessments, evaluations of level of care, diagnosing for substance use criteria, screenings for mental health symptoms, referrals, treatment plans and completing accurate documentation
- Facilitates groups using education, discussion, and group processes. Focuses on emotional, social, and family issues relevant to clients with chemical abuse/addiction problems
- Assist client in treatment engagement by removing barriers to treatment and recovery through direct client contact services
- Conduct assessments and screenings in the field on individuals who are involved with child welfare
- Assist clients in building support systems outside of DHS and outside of alcohol and drug treatment
- Transport ART clients to initial A&D treatment services and other meetings
- Assist client in finding resources for clean and sober housing and childcare to support sober living
- Provide CAF caseworker with written and electronic documentations of all client activity
- Attend court hearings, treatment staffing, and other meetings
- Record all client activity for monthly data reports and tracking of cases
- Other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor
