Cost Accountant Job at Gulf Stream Coach Inc
Gulf Stream Coach, Inc, a leading producer of RV’s in Northern Indian, is seeking a highly motivated professional to add to our cost accounting department.
The scope of this positions is all products procured, manufactured and sold by the company. Range of operations is the creation and maintenance of the BOM’s, construction specifications documentation and option cots. Reporting responsibility is operation and material variances to the General Manager and gross margin reports on product and options.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create and Maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOM)
· Maintain Construction Specs
· Set up Active models and options in the AS400
· Provide estimated cost for new product
· Review pricing and orders
· Review scrap reporting/underreporting and investigate significant variances to standard
· Plan, execute and supervise periodic physical inventories.
· “Freeze” BOM’s before standards roll
· Monthly Scrap report
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· College degree or equivalent work related experience. – R.V EXPERIENCE IS A BIG PLUS!!
· Microsoft office knowledge
· AS400 knowledge
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
· Math – Algebra, geometry and an understanding of Unit of Measure and how to convert
· Ability to use standard office equipment
· Ability to read a tape measure accurately
· Strong written and oral communication skills
You must also be able to lead and participate in team projects, multi-task with the ability to switch tasks quickly and accurately. Work in a stressful, fast paced environment. Research, investigate and verify data.
