SUMMARY

Complete responsibility for operating the Pack size corrugated machine.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Knowledgeable of all machine functions including startup/shut down, fanfold changes, and overall machine operation.


Understand and interpret what type of box the customer needs.


Produces and labels corrugated boxes for all customers, which includes the Wood, Resin and Metal Plants. The Metal Plant customers consist of Base, Wallcase/FH/ACSV, Trim, TFG and Hoods.


Required to interpret the customers needs per a “Box Request Drawing”.


Must balance work load to keep boxes supplied to all customers.


Must have basic understanding on the operation of a Windows based computer.


Provides fanfold changes via spreadsheet to track daily usage.


Programs and produces special size boxes for all three plants. Able to manipulate files from the server to load customer orders onto the machine for production.


Must be knowledgeable in general operation of the glue machine, which includes the glue melt scheduler settings and how to override the timers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Knowledge of basic blueprints.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
