Corporate Meeting and Event Coordinator Job at Beauport Hotel Gloucester
This position is ideal for a candidate looking to break into event management and corporate sales. Position will give candidate experience in corporate planning, and execution and provides excellent potential for growth within the company.
Experience and Skills:
Must have 2 years or more of related industry experience, with a combination of previous event experience. Relevant experience can be a combination of Internship/Coursework and relevant work experience.
- Coordinate corporate meetings day of; setting up and/or breaking down the meeting space, coordinating with the kitchen and service teams to ensure all F&B items are prepared and served in accordance with BEOs, fielding any client requests and maintaining basic A/V function.
- Providing office support; answering phones and responding to email inquiries, along with additional administrative duties, as needed.
- Generate BEOs within Caterease.
- Generate floorplans, utilizing Social Tables
- Serve as a point of contact for guest organizing and attending events at property to ensure their end-to-end experience operates smoothly
- Assist in accounting administrative duties such as monitoring and processing deposits, and client invoicing post event
- Flexible to work early mornings or late evenings primarily on a Monday-Friday Schedule.
- Reports to Senior Corporate Sales Manager
Required Experience:
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with maximum efficiency, accuracy and full attention to detail
- Must have experience in all Microsoft Office and knowledge of industry relevant Sales Systems
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
- Ability to exercise sound logic and judgement in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources.
- Must be self-directed, motivated and be able to adapt to changing situations.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours’ length of time
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Work will primarily take place in the Hotel, front of the house, back office, to include all event spaces and Kitchen areas.
- Group and solo work.
