About This Job
Commerce Bank’s Brand Marketing Communications Group includes public relations, brand content and social media teams responsible for achieving greater synergies between the marketing functions that create, reinforce and strengthen the Commerce Brand. The Group focuses on public/media relations, communications strategies, social media communication strategies, brand content marketing strategies, graphic design, video & creative solutions. This internship will be a shared position across public relations, brand content and social media.
Essential Functions
Identify and leverage synergies across public relations, brand content and social media.
Draft news releases and talking points.
Manage the workflow process associated with PR, content and social media content production.
Plan brand content and write articles and posts for social media as well as commercebank.com.
Participate in brand reviews of articles and other marketing materials to ensure quality and consistency with the Commerce brand tone of voice and positioning.
Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Flexible with weekly anchor days
Available as requested for internship program activities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Public relations and writing experience a plus.
Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills required. Writing samples are also requested with application.
A self-starter, deadline oriented, ability to manage and successfully move forward multiple projects at one time.
Professional demeanor required.
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
Qualified candidate will be a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
