Working with the Director of Events, the Corporate Event Planner is responsible for the successful coordination and implementation of Janney’s corporate event logistics. With a strong focus on high quality and high touch programs, this individual will be responsible for constructing and executing elevated regional meetings, company learning/training events, incentive trips, conferences, social gatherings, and employee appreciation events.

- Communication- Able to effectually communicate verbally and in writing with internal clients, vendors, and team members; Partners with team to create seamless event experience
- Develop, direct, and execute corporate programs ranging in size between 10 and 500 attendees, including: venue selection, site inspections, contract negotiations, hotel management, food & beverage, staging, audio/visual, speakers, invitation materials and registration website creation.
- Lead the planning and execution of sales recognition trips, including onsite research, agenda development, attendee registration & communications, air travel and ground transportation, overnight accommodations,
- Collaborate and partner with members of the Learning Team to ensure logistics are aligned properly with the agenda.
- Assist in the delivery of hybrid events to provide an enhanced, engaging event experience for attendees participating virtually, as well as in-person.
- Work with 3rd party travel agency to secure proper flights for upcoming events, including reservation of anticipated seats well in advance and ensuring agency is meeting the needs of attendees.
- Coordinate all mailings, electronic and print materials, for program including but not limited to: invitation/registration, nametags, presentations, handouts, agendas, etc.
- Assist with ideas on gifting and giveaways to enhance the attendee experience.
- Responsible for budget development and post-event reporting/recap.
- Provide back up support to other areas of the Learning Department when needed.
- At least 4 years of corporate event planning experience
- Strong working knowledge of Cvent and virtual event platforms, such as WebEx and SpotMe
- Team-oriented; collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and diligent, with superior project management skills
- Hospitality mindset and commitment to delivering elevated, ‘white-glove’ service to internal clientele
- Solutions-focused, approaches problems with resourcefulness
- Strong work ethic and an internal drive to execute goals and deliverables
- Must be able to handle sensitive/confidential information
- Ability to lift boxes 20-35 pounds
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Some weekend work required
