Position Overview
The Corporate Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for ensuring the food and beverage operations are providing and delivering a consistent, high level of service and quality of products based on established company standards and customers' expectations. This position will implement the strategic food and beverage goals and translate them into tactical plans, as well as provide leadership to ensure goals are attained. The Corporate Director of Food & Beverage will maximize revenues and profits while maintaining the high level and quality and integrity of our food & beverage selection.
Primary Relationships
- This position reports to the Executive Vice President of Food & Beverage and Procurement
- This position has primary working relationships across both home office and hotel level(s) including Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and General Managers at individual hotels.
Primary Functions
- Experience in developing and implementing budgets and annual business plans
- Passion for targeting consumers and key business stakeholders
- Proven track record of building effective interpersonal relationships with direct reports
- Strong presentation skills, ability to articulate smart solutions in a straightforward manner
- A deep understanding and appreciation of food & beverage culture - the trends, the disruptions, the behaviors, and the complexities/opportunities
- Proven ability to inspire and shape ideas that live in food & beverage culture and beyond
- Proactively stay on top of innovation, industry trends, and cultural norms
- Ability to lead compliance and secure buy-in of corporate programs, including promoting vendor relations and utilization of corporate resources and leverage
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure maximization of food and beverage revenues and profits and guest satisfaction to meet strategic business plans
- Implement programs and promotions focused on maximizing revenues in the operations. Implement comprehensive purchasing contracts which provide a quality product at the best possible price. Ensure compliance with established purchasing programs across the portfolio
- Constantly monitor food and beverage operations for maximum sales growth and profit potential while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Facilitates the development and monitoring of financial budgets, sales, and marketing strategies, and operations to produce both short-term and long-term profitability. Oversee the analysis of revenue reports, and make necessary strategic changes to ensure maximum profitability and efficiency
- Monitor national and regional F&B trends to ensure food and beverage operations remain relevant
- Focus on food and beverage marketing and guest service delivery efforts that build the loyalty of existing customers while also attracting new ones. Work with the F&B team to develop distinctive or signature services and products that can provide a degree of separation from our competitors
- Ensure the Food and Beverage Directors and their managers are properly trained as trainers and are executing training programs across their properties. Monitor compliance with all state and local training programs, and the service training across operations
- Ensure the marketing and merchandising of our food and beverage outlets is occurring with an emphasis on delivering innovativeness and excitement to our guests
- Drives results through staff development and appropriate training programs; monitor results through evaluation, inspection, and analysis
- Supports training, development, organization, and motivation of highly qualified and effective property teams, capable of providing optimum staff support for the organization. The development includes technical abilities as well as leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Support operations on a task force basis as necessary - possibly including an extended period of time until such positions have been filled
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department

Salary Range
- $140K - $150K annually
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a restaurant and/or hotel industry is required
- Minimum of eight (8) years leadership experience required
- Experience in large-scale multiple operations
