We are seeking a resourceful, motivated attorney to join our legal team as Corporate Counsel.
As a Corporate Counsel for AIR Communities, you will be responsible for providing legal support to many aspects of the business. This includes but is not limited to real estate, corporate governance, finance, contracts, litigation, compliance, and regulatory matters. You will be a key member of the team and play a vital role in ensuring we operate in a manner that is consistent with our values.
Essential Functions:
- Provide timely, concise, and business-focused legal guidance to Executives, Operations, Transactions, IT and other internal clients.
- Work with outside counsel on a variety of matters, guide and manage their work in a cost-effective manner.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate and operations agreements (lease agreements, service contracts, etc.).
- Provide legal guidance and support for real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financing).
- Lead compliance efforts on matters affecting property operations, including Fair Housing, leasing, rent, deposits, credit, privacy, and more.
- Monitor changes to state and local regulations and implement changes to policies/procedures that mitigate risk and support business outcomes.
- Research and advise on areas of potential risk.
- Manage and drive special projects.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders.
- Assist the General Counsel and team with various matters.
- Assist with vendor disputes and escalated resident matters.

- J.D. from a reputable law school and admitted to practice in Colorado (or other state(s)).
- 3+ years of experience as a licensed practicing attorney.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Real estate experience is preferred.
Additional Information

AIR offers attractive total compensation packages designed to recognize and reward performance at the individual, team, and company levels. We start with a competitive base salary and add bonus opportunities and benefit choices topped off with:
- Expected pay of $120,000 - $180,000. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.
