Part time position working 32 hours per two week pay period; shift times are from 6:00am-2:30pm and includes working every other weekend and every other holiday.:

About the Position:

Eagle Crest South is currently hiring for a full time Cook Assistant/Prep Cook to join their culinary team. This position will work with a team of other culinary professionals to create a positive dining experience for our residents that includes nutritious and appealing meals, great attention to detail and above standard customer service!

The Assistant Cook is responsible for the daily preparation of fresh-made recipes such as salads, sandwiches and other Bistro items, as well as stocking items in the Bistro area as needed, preparing supplies for cooking line and restocking diminished stock as needed, assist with baking and preparing desserts, dish washing, stepping in to cook on the line as needed and a variety of other tasks as assigned by the leadership team. The successful candidate must be willing and eager to cook from scratch.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; this position will occasionally require transporting meals to other communities.
• Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations (Food Safety Certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail while preparing in a fast paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to operate meat slicer.
• One year of cooking experience in a long-term care, hospital, or restaurant setting preferred but not required; We will train the right fit for our team!

Our Wages:

• Our starting rate is between $15.50 and $17.50 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.
• We pay for high performance! We will review your wage at six months.
