We have a unique opportunity for a Controller to join our team and help us grow! The Controller is responsible for production of financial reports, implementing and managing an adequate system of accounting records, the support of forecast activities, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The controller is also responsible for enhancing the company's reported financial results' accuracy and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

Day to Day priorities for the Controller include:

• Analyzing and interpreting financial reports to understand trends in profitability, performance against budget and other key measures of the financial health of the organization
• Accomplishing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective action.
  
• Advising management on matters such as effective use of resources and control expenditures.
  
• Developing, identifying opportunities to improve and maintaining accounting practices, internal controls, and processes. Including coordinating with software vendor(s) to implement and maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance accounting software and processes.
  
• Managing job costing, general ledger activity, account receivables, account payables, financial reporting and year-end internal audit preparations.
  
• Preserves organizational assets by implementing and monitoring disaster recovery and backup procedures.
  
• Oversees the administration of Liability and Worker’s Compensation Insurance
• Manages Company Credit card programs.

Our ideal candidate possesses the following background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Managerial Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 10+ years of progresive experience in finance or accounting positions
• Strong organizational skills and technical understanding
• Advanced excel skills including: pivot tables, macros, building equations, charts and graphs
• High Proficiency with QuickBooks, MS Office and job costing technologies
• Solid data analytics and audit skills
• Experience developing budgets, cashflow projections and profitability reports
  
• Experience with Sage 300 Software preferred
