The Position:

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, loves to be challenged, is passionate about their work, and who has solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills.

The Controller will need the ability to work with external auditors, manage the Accounting team in hand with the Accounting Manager, and be a subject matter expert on proper accounting treatment for all aspects of the business within a manufacturing environment.

Some tasks might look like:

• Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
• Financial Statement preparation for internal and external reporting.
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
• Coordinating activities of external auditors
• Direct Accounting department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
• Overseeing regulatoryreporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff
• Other duties as assigned

The Opportunity:

This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a small, focused business environment with the unique challenges of supporting a newly implemented ERP.

The Ideal Candidate:

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Licensed CPA / MBA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
• Previous experience in public accounting highly valued, 5+ years experience preferred.
• Experience with Inventory Audits
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Cost Accounting
• Expertise in US GAAP and IFRS reporting
• Some experience in Tax preparation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
