The Current Operations Controller is responsible for the financial management and oversight of global supply chain accounting, reporting and controls. This role covers inventory related activities, intercompany, fixed assets and costs associated with operating our manufacturing plants, distribution centers and sourcing activities
This role partners with the Controller, FP&A, Tax and Supply Chain functional leaders, to ensure activity is properly accounted for, and appropriate controls are in place to ensure timely and accurate reporting across the financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow), including reconciliation to sub-ledgers and tie points to any statutory or tax requirements in partnership with local Controllers. The role requires detailed understanding of the financial statement flows and the candidate is expected to have in depth understanding of the balances and to use that to support opportunities for working capital efficiency and analysis.
The role will have direct reports to support execution of these tasks.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage monthly and quarterly closing process for all plant and distribution sites, including cost accounting accruals, inventory costing, FIFO, obsolescence / warranty reserves, and consequent balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations
Manage inventory standard setting process
Review inventory reports for borrowing base submissions
Manage intercompany processes for movements between plants
Support weekly / monthly operating processes
Provide insight on plant costs of operations in partnership with FP&A
Drive working capital improvements, including payables and inventory with FP&A
Provide leadership in controllership related to inventory accounting / processes (physical inventory controls, costing & production order accounting)
Support local Controllers with statutory and tax obligations for inventory and fixed asset related activities
Minimum 5 years of Finance experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Supply Chain Finance experience desirable
Ability to use BI and reporting tools for quantitative analysis
Demonstrate good business and commercial judgement
Advanced problem resolution and written and verbal communication skills
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Experience managing people desirable
Strong decision-making, multi-tasking and execution abilities under tight deadlines
Experience with SAP, OneStream and MS Office (or equivalents) required
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is 120-140,000.
