Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week.

Essential Functions:
The contracts administrator will provide financial and/or accounting support to the Accounting/Contracts Departments and other activities. Duties include:

  • Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Track performance to spend plans and budgets.
  • Prepare billing and funding reports as needed.
  • Reconcile contract costs for variance preparation.
  • Prepare and monitor contract close out status and documentation.
  • Experience with contract (tracking and reporting).
  • Experience with effectively managing CPFF, T&M, and FFP contracts.
  • Provide support with a variety of management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects, and data calls which could have significant impact on the organization and its business operations.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
  • 4 years of financial / contract management experience.
  • Intermediate level Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage overlapping projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Desired:
  • Experience working with CostPoint.
Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS or BA in a Relevant Financial Discipline OR an AS or AA in a Relevant Financial Discipline with an additional 2 years of experience OR a HS Diploma with an additional 4 years of experience
