About the Career Opportunity

Consumer Loan Specialists play a critical role in helping our members with their lending needs. Our Consumer Loan Specialists take in excess of 30 calls per day and answer general calls and specific calls related to helping our members with their consumer lending needs. This position is also responsible for meeting attainable monthly performance metrics, including sales and cross-sales goals. Our Consumer Loan Specialists must consistently authenticates members following established authentication policies and procedures and identify and escalate potential situations involving fraud. They are expected to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy when completing their work. Our Consumer Loan Specialists are responsible for proactively speaking with members regarding their needs for additional financial solutions and asking probing questions to understand how we may best help our members.

Position Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) – an AA is preferred. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of two years of consumer loan experience is required. Must have experience selling and cross-selling products or services and must have excellent member service skills to include strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to demonstrate patience and professionalism in dealing with members.

Schedule

This is a hybrid position and about half of the time incumbents will be working in the office. Consumer Loan Specialists must be able to work a 40 hour a week variable schedule with hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and they are required to attend department meetings and training outside of normally scheduled hours. Advanced notice will be provided. Schedules are determined based on business needs. A guaranteed schedule or set days off are not available.

Pay: $41,438.00 - $51,798.00 per year
