We are looking for a Construction Project Manager in our Kansas City, MO location.

Position Summary The Construction Project Manager is responsible to manage multiple projects at all levels of project status for Storage Construction. Responsible for execution in the field, from point of shipment to acceptance by the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible to be main point‐of‐contact and liaison between CST and the customer, to include coordination with CST installation crews or subcontractors
  • Work with CST construction management team and field supervision to plan and execute all levels of installation projects
  • Engage customer is jobsite planning and coordination, including site prep, equipment and crane usage, and safety site requirements and pre‐qualification preparation and documentation
  • Work with CST internal resources (administrative staff, estimating, commercial PM's, engineering and drafting, and manufacturing) to coordinate all activities related to product installation
  • Coordinate all customer scheduling requirements to plan subcontractor schedules
  • Work thru all installation issues encountered on site, including quality problems with manufacturing or design‐related issues, or with other subcontractors or vendors
  • Work with crane companies on scoping crane work, requesting and qualifying bids, and scheduling work; develop critical lift plans when appropriate
  • Provide support to estimating as required to complete bidding activities and contract award
  • Participate in bid walks, kickoff meetings, jobsite progress meetings and other onsite activities prior to or during project execution
  • Support construction management, including monthly revenue forecasting and cost management
  • Participate in VMB and various other company required planning and scheduling meetings
  • Provide regular project status reporting
  • Coordinate on‐time delivery of materials and parts to jobsite and manage quality or shortage issues, including managing costs thru backcharges and change orders
  • Coordinate all subcontractor scope development and bidding as required to support project bidding
  • Become educated on installation mean and methods, process, and technologies to support successful project execution
  • Use ERP system and other tools per company expectations and participate in other scheduling and planning initiatives
  • Provide continuous improvement on department procedures, protocol and execution standards
  • Comply with and enforce all safety rules and standards
  • Assure overall customer satisfaction, including final acceptance of finished product, project closeout, to include payment and final documentation

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in general construction knowledge and erection of pre‐ engineered structures
  • Prefer minimum of 2‐year degree in construction science, construction estimating, or construction management
  • Prefer minimum of 2‐3 years' experience with bolted and welded tanks and aluminum geodesic domes and flat covers
TRAVEL
  • May be expected to travel up to 10‐20% of the time depending on workload; will be required to visit work sites for project meetings or visit CST facilities
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Must be able to operate computer, with strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, SalesForce.com, or other CRM software)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Walk, must be able to move about inside the manufacturing and office and occasionally on a construction site or outside of the manufacturing facility
  • Sit and stand, must be able to work at a stationary desk that may require sitting or standing; standing or walking on uneven terrain, or climbing to heights, may be required frequently.
  • Lift and carry weights of 50lbs.
