Construction Observation Technician Job at Fehr Graham
We are looking for a motivated Engineering Technician experienced in construction observation and materials testing to join our team in our Rochelle, Illinois, office. We are interested in talented, trustworthy, and skilled people who are passionate about providing personalized attention to our clients.
What you'll do
Your primary duties include construction observation and materials testing, working in the field throughout the year. You'll prepare project notes, create and interpret CAD drawings, and prepare calculations and summary sheets under established procedures. You'll support the engineering and environmental functions of the firm.
We promote a team environment, so you'll work with fellow engineers, environmental scientists, and many more people. And you'll develop leadership skills that build autonomy.
What it takes
An associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Architecture Technology or CAD Drafting from a technical college or institution is preferred. Relevant experience may offset the educational requirement.
We're looking for someone with experience, but recent grads with internship experience will be considered.
You should speak and write well. And you should have strong analytical and organizational skills. You must be a team player.
