CONSERVATION COORDINATOR
Zoological Society of New Jersey
Job Description:
The Zoological Society of New Jersey is seeking a Conservation Coordinator to assist with various activities related to the protection of habitats within the greater-Essex County area. Reporting to the organization’s Director of Marketing & Events, the Coordinator will primarily assist with leadinggroupvolunteerr outings intended to remove harmful debris and invasive species, as well as conduct basic citizen science activities. Other activities include the logging, reviewing, and reporting of the Turtle BackBiodiversity in-situ grant fund in coordination with the organization’s conservation committee. Additional responsibilities as assigned, including assisting with special events and fundraising activities. Weekend availability is a must.
Duration and Compensation:
The Coordinator will be expected to fill the summer weekend calendar with volunteer opportunities and be responsible for their transportation. Compensation starts at $17.00/hour.
