Conference Volunteer - Youth in Government/Model UN Job at YMCA of Middle Tennessee
Summary: Consistent with the mission and vision of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee and the Center for Civic Engagement, and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, the CCE Conference Volunteer will help provide students with positive conference experiences that enrich their lives. Volunteers will join us in organizing conference logistics and managing students at the conference.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
- Understand and support the volunteer programs, goals, and objectives of the YMCA as a community organization.
- Be familiar with, comply with, and enforce the YMCA Center for Civic Engagement Delegate Code of Conduct.
- Be available for the conference for the entirety of the conference, unless there is a pre-approved conflict.
- Attend all conference functions, and conform to the given schedule unless otherwise specified.
- Keep all interactions with students, advisors, and other conference staff professional and Y-appropriate.
- Refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco products, or any other illegal substances during the conference.
- Refrain from personal interactions with delegates after conference curfew.
- Ensure that communication with members, staff, and the public is friendly and professional.
- Arrive on time for volunteer assignment and be flexible if needs change for volunteer assignment.
- Carry out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and appropriate manner.
- Perform additional enumerated responsibilities of a specific volunteer role.
- Minimum 18 years of age and high school graduate
