TITLE: CONCIERGE

I. Position Summary

The Concierge holds one of the most important positions at The Fountains. The Concierge is in constant contact with the residents and guests therefore, the most essential traits required in this position are professionalism and personal warmth. The Concierge is motivated to perform the job well by a desire to ensure the safety and welfare of the residents, as well as an innate sense of graciousness and friendliness.

The Concierge will represent The Fountains to the residents, their guests and families and the community in a professional and positive manner. This includes representing all aspects of The Fountains in a positive light to residents, visitors, co-workers and community at all times.

The Concierge is responsible to the Assistant Executive Director.

II. Equipment

The Concierge must be able to use and operate the phone system, e-call system, copier, smoke and fire panel, security cameras and resident pendants.

III. Physical Requirements

The Concierge must be able to read and write clearly, lift 25 pounds, and sit for eight hours a day.

IV. Essential Functions

1. Greet residents and provide assistance to residents, visitors, prospective residents and families in a friendly and sincere manner.

2. Use proper telephone skills.

3. Announce appointments to management as they arrive.

4. Respond promptly to fire alarm and monitor e-call system.

5. Assist with addressing envelopes and folding flyers.

6. Ensure that incident reports, concern reports and other appropriate communication have been completed.

7. Maintain visitor/vendor/care provider sign in/out book and completes maintenance request work orders.

8. Receive packages, plants, prescription drugs, etc. and deliver/hold as requested.

9. Maintain emergency contact information.

10.Inform appropriate supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.

11.Respond to guest complaints, conducts research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results. Listen and assist in resolving problems such as insufficient heating or air conditioning, etc. Remains calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy activity.

12.Communicate with other staff on radios as necessary.

13.Maintain the concierge log book.

14.Attend all required training, in-service and staff meetings.

15.Confidentiality: Information about residents and their affairs is private! It is an employee’s obligation to keep this information strictly confidential. Do not discuss resident information with friends, relatives, or other employees. Violation of this policy is grounds for immediate termination.

16. Performs other related duties, as required.

V. Job Qualifications

Should be able to read and write. Must be physically capable of performing assignments. Must be able to get along with all kinds of people.

Requires high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least one year minimum experience with previous receptionist experience.

Must have a strong commitment to company goals and objectives and to maintaining excellent company reputation and quality customer service.

Professional appearance with provided uniforms.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
