In order to accomplish our hefty goals, we are immediately seeking an individual for the Area Representative (Community Coordinator) position in our F-1student exchange high school program.

The selective individual will:

  • Be outgoing and well-connected in his/her community
  • Possess a background in recruitment, marketing, education, social work, or international relations
  • Make recruitment and screening of host families and connecting with local schools a priority
  • Hold an interested in learning about other cultures
  • Enjoy meeting new people
  • Be willing to conduct in-person home visits and monthly student advisements
  • Provide student and host families orientations from pre-approved materials
  • Be adept with social media (especially Facebook)

Compensation

SMG compensation is commensurate with the number of international students placed and supervised with American host families August 2023 – June 2024. This is a non-salaried, placement-based role. Learn more at www.smg-field-development.com

Pay: $1,000.00 - $21,000.00 per year

Application Question(s):

  • Representatives are required to conduce in-person home visits to potential host families, and to personally visit with the exchange students he/she places every other month. Will you be able to provide this service?
  • Have you ever hosted an exchange student or been one?

Experience:

  • teaching or classroom: 3 years (Preferred)
  • living in the Charlotte area: 3 years (Required)
  • working with teenagers: 1 year (Preferred)
