Job Description: Madison Church: North Community Living Connector

Primary Purpose:
To enhance the flourishing of community in and around Madison Church: North
campus through facilitating relationships, nurturing reciprocal partnerships, and
catalyzing community engagement.

Hours: 15 hours/week

Accountable to: North Campus Pastor

Gift Set: We are seeking a person who is outgoing, loves people, hospitable,
engaging, and is skilled in cross-cultural leadership, discernment, communication,
team-building, & discipleship

Experience: A minimum of three years of work experience (paid or unpaid) in a
church and/or community setting is desirable

Roles and Responsibilities:
Community Engagement

  • Forms relationships with neighbors in and around Emerald Flats, and

effectively connects neighbors with one another and Madison North.

  • Works in cooperation with ICCF Community Homes’ Community Connector to

engage and empower residents of Emerald Flats.

  • Recruits, trains, leads, and supports a team to engage in holistic outreach at

Emerald Flats and in the surrounding neighborhood through Christian
Community Development principles

Community Connection

  • Coordinates community asset mapping exercises that involve Emerald Flats

residents and connect them more fully into the Highland Park Neighborhood.

  • Cultivates partnerships and initiatives with Emerald Flats partner

organizations (ICCF and Oasis), as well as other local non-profit organizations
and churches within the community.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent relational, oral, and written communication skills with ability to

mentor others.

  • Have had successful experiences in a multi-cultural organization and possess

the ability to build relationships, and bring diverse groups of people together
to work towards biblical justice.

  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects

and events.

  • Experience working with teams in the coordination of programs or projects for

successful implementation.

  • Be a mature Christian and a member (or willing to become a member) of

Madison Church: North campus, in agreement with our vision, mission, values
and beliefs.

  • Proven ability in developing a vision and creating initiatives designed to utilize

the giftedness of people.
