Community Liaison Job at Canon Hospice- Gulfport
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Nursing, or equivalent experience and knowledge. 2. Good communication, negotiation, and public relations skills. 3. Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers, referral sources, and the community. 4. Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices. 5. Good Physical stamina and mental health. Has present pre-employment physician’s health certification including a negative TB skin test and/or CXR and other test required by policy and or state law. 6. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting. 7. Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers. 8. Satisfactory criminal background check. 9. Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision. 10. Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations. Job Summary Generate appropriate patient referrals from customers and continue to grow the number of referrals over time. Establish and maintain professional relationship with key physicians, nursing home administrators and staff, D.O.N,’s hospital personnel, etc. Represent Canon Hospice and its services in a competent professional and responsive manner. Interact with Canon Hospice patient care management and staff in a team fashion consistent with the Organization’s service and teamwork culture. Maintain standards of high quality customer services and compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Meet growth and development targets and actively establishes and maintains market acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area. Manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company’s budget. Travel as necessary.
Responsibilities:
1. Establish and maintain ongoing public relations efforts to increase community understanding of hospice programs and improve relations with current and potential referral and payer sources. 2. Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary projections. 3. Maintain working knowledge of community resources and assist in accessing community resources should services should not be provided. 4. Employ marketing and promotional initiatives as directed. 5. Monitor and report cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts. 6. Build and monitor community, customer, payer, and patient/client perceptions of quality provider of services. 7. Effective implement and territory management systems. 8. Identify opportunities for additional or improved services to address unmet customer needs. 9. Participates in staff meetings, department meetings, briefings, in-services, committees, and other related activities as needed. 10. Participate in evening/weekend call for admissions as required, in a competent and responsive manner. 11. Meet or exceed deliver of Company Service Standards in a consistent fashion. 12. Conduct all business activities in a professional and ethical manner.
