SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

  • Serve as Coordinator of both Internal Communications (newsletters, worship folders, emails, annual reports) and External Communications (dedicated social media sites, etc.) for both church and church's surrounding community.
  • Demonstrate skill and creativity in written and visual communication.
  • Design and prepare print and electronic newsletter in consultation with the pastors and ministry leaders.
  • Serve as webmaster. Maintain information, propose, and implement changes/improvements as necessary.
  • Maintain church’s social media including Facebook page and related communication and encourage congregational engagement.
  • Edit and upload videos to YouTube.
  • Display competence in using various software including Microsoft Word and Publisher, presentation software such as Power Point and email marketing applications.
  • Acquire necessary information and prepare worship bulletins and announcement pages
  • Prepare weekly prayer ministry publication in consultation with pastors
  • Post and email weekend electronic announcements and updates newsletter
  • Design worship slides in consultation with pastors (currently using Vimeo, Proclaim)
  • Manage live-streaming of worship services, either personally or through volunteers.
  • Create weekly event posters for bathrooms and forward to office manager
  • Design and prepare Annual Report, set guidelines and solicit reports from leaders
  • Create stewardship forms and materials in consultation with pastors
  • Design and prepare other reports, brochures, posters, banners, mailings, fliers and logos as needed
  • Take photographs of congregational events or identify others who will; post photos to website and Facebook page; print photos for display on kiosk
  • Edit written communication prepared by others as requested, including weekly Sunday School newsletter
  • Prepare and maintain information displayed on monitors in Narthex.
  • Design and order outdoor banners as needed
  • Work with pastors and ministry leaders to plan, coordinate primary weekly newsletter article as well as develop content for Newsletters.
  • Provide reception/office welcoming tasks as needed

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
If vaccinated, no masks required in office area however all public gatherings (such as worship and congregational events) do require masks be worn.
