Communication Specialists & Speech Language Pathologists Contractors Job at KenCrest Services
KenCrest is seeking Communication Specialists and Speech Language Pathologists to assess the ways in which individuals communicate, write communication action plans for staff/families to follow, make recommendations on low tech or assistive technology supports; update devices as needed, create communication tools, offer ongoing supports, and train team members.
We provide service to individuals in Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Berks, Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties. Teams are supported through safe, in-person supports.
Responsibilities Include:
- Fee-for-service independent contractors availabilities for Communication Specialists and for Speech Language Pathologists (SLP)
- Communication Specialists will develop Communication Action Plans (CAP) with interventions using creativity and best practices; train staff on how to implement the CAP, and work directly with the individual to enhance communicative abilities
- SLPs will be asked to evaluate what the best communication tools, techniques, and assistive devices will be for an individual and their team
- Being able to offer face to face, phone and e-mail support to the individuals, their families and staff in the home, place of employment and out in the community as needed per each team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degrees required in Speech Communication, Communication Disorders, or similar degree program
- Experience in speech language pathology, communication disorders, sign language, education of deaf students or similar required
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders required
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the individuals and teams
- Proficient mastery and fluency in spoken and written English
- Skilled with smart technology
- Professional liability insurance coverage required prior to hire date
- Valid Driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Laptop with Microsoft Office
- Work Location: On the road
- Comply with COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate
