MOUNTAINLAND TECHNICAL COLLEGE
Invites applications for the position of:
CDL INSTRUCTOR
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 - 10:00 PM
Location: 2301 W. Ashton Blvd Lehi, Utah 84043
Reports to: Lead CDL Instructor
Status: Part-Time/ Non-Exempt
Wage: $24 /hour
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Take necessary precautions to ensure an effective and safe level of direct supervision of students in the range and driving portion of the program
- Effectively prepares students as professional drivers
- Ensure that student's achievement of educational objectives is evaluated appropriately, to include their knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Assesses student's progress toward meeting the requirements for graduation.
- Models and teaches good work habits
- Assists students in the use, care, and safety of program equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Valid CDL Non-Restricted Class-A license
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class-A Driving Experience
- Minimum of 2 years over the road (OTR) or local driving experience
- Must be able to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Must be able and willing to obtain an instructor license from a state approving agency
- Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
MTECH maintains the right to conduct a criminal history background check; employment is contingent upon background check results
