What You’ll Do: Operates a Front Load vehicle, with a GVW greater than 26,001 pounds to collect and transport recyclable materials as scheduled and directed in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.

Essential Functions:

• Prepares for daily assignments by inspecting the vehicle and equipment.
• Spot and pick-up loads at customer designated locations.
• Secures loads to prohibit spills or flying debris while in transit to the material reclamation facility.
• Completes required paperwork and review for accuracy.
• Check vehicle prior to leaving the yard and upon returning to the yard to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Note any vehicle defects and report needs for repair.
• Maintain an acceptable appearance and highest standard of conduct within engaging customers.
• Remains flexible regarding assignments and other duties and exhibits a cooperative effort and teamwork in working with fellow drivers and other employees.
• Maintains cleanliness of the truck cab and helps to maintain the truck and upkeep of the yard area.
• Performs all functions in accordance with the Yes I Can philosophy, provides support, backup and training and performs work in other positions, as qualified, when needed.
• Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
• Must possess a non-expired Commercial Drivers License (CDL A or B)
• 1-year of heavy diesel truck driving experience.
• High school education or equivalency preferred.
• Ability to read and write legibly and keep detailed records of work performed.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
