Commercial Analytics Data Scientist Job at Novocure
The Commercial Analytics Data Scientist will establish and maintain excellence within our commercial analytics team and will lead the relationship with the extended regional commercial teams. The Commercial Analytics Data Scientist will also be instrumental in sharing best practices within our global commercial analytics and insights team. As part of our Commercial Analytics team, the data scientist will support operations through training, data engineering, and the generation of analytics and insights for our commercial team. The Commercial Analytics Data Scientist will also make meaningful contributions to our data science and BI/Reporting endeavors to improve the customer experiences and salesforce effectiveness. This position supports a dynamic global organization in the oncology therapeutic area.
This is Field-Based, Exempt position, reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Science and Advanced Analytics, Global Business Effectiveness and the ideal candidate lives within a commuteable distance of the greater Boston Metro area for intermittent, internal team meetings at the Boston office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish deep relationships with key commercial stakeholders, function as the regional SME for our commercial analytics and data science; developing deep knowledge of the local commercial needs and regulatory environments. Help commercial team to answer business questions through rigorous use of information and appropriate modeling
- Collaborate with clinical team medical experts on transforming the clinical problem into an AI problem, assessing feasibility and risks, designing data collection procedure, performing quality control, and articulating results to stake holders.
- Collaborate with, support and contribute to the larger data analytics needs of the group, including regression, prediction, classification, NLP, visualization and reporting
- Develop insights on customer experience using CRM data and advanced analytics
- Collaboration with internal data science and Customer Resource Management teams to set up the data infrastructure for advanced modeling and analytics as well as in support of our Business Intelligence needs.
- Provide ad hoc reporting for customer management and operations'
- Collaborate with data science team and commercial teams to drive business performance through thoughtful analysis of CRM data in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as all other applicable laws and regulations, e.g. HIPAA and GDPR
- Willing to travel as needed 20-30%, may include international destinations
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, statistics, economics, data science, business analytics, etc.
- Data Scientist
- 0-3 years of experience in analytics, with knowledge of/experience with R; python also considered, though a willingness to learn R is helpful
- Education related to statistics, regression, classification helpful
OTHER:
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Travel to other Novocure domestic and international locations as needed (20%)
